David Deptford
David has represented Great Britain three times to date, and also represented British Reining at the Dubai International Horse Show as part of a demonstration of all seven FEI disciplines.
Closer to home, David (usually accompanied by his wife Sarah and daughters Elle and Amy) regularly showcases Western riding at national shows such as the CLA Game Fair and has demonstrated Western Riding at the British Dressage Championships, Your Horse Live and Horse World Live. No one has done more in the UK to promote Western riding to such a wide audience.
At home David owns and runs Sovereign Quarter Horses (SQH), where he teaches Western Riding at all levels. SQH were one of the first licensed Western Riding schools in the UK. Clinics and camps are part of life at SQH, people passionate about Western Riding and American Quarter Horses can come together at these events to further their knowledge.
SQH also has a highly regarded breeding and horse training program, breeding future champions that are safe, well put together horses for riding. David stands three top class stallions.
SQH or specifically their venue Horse Creek Farm has an international sized indoor area and hosts some of the largest Western shows in the UK, Horse Creek Farm is one of the only 3 venues in the UK that is fully suitable for Western Riding.
The venue is also home to two other successful western related businesses, SQH Tack Store and Rhinestone Clothing, Rhinstone Clothing is the UK retailer for Greeley Hat Works.
