Born and raised on her family’s row crop farm in central Illinois, Myla Munro drove a pickup long before it was legal, chased cows in the dark and baled hay like one of the boys. As a kid she was active in youth associations like FFA and 4-H. It was her involvement in those organizations that helped her navigate the question “what do I want to be when I grow up?” Several college degrees later, she now works as a 4-H Youth Development Educator and empowers youth through the positive impact of 4-H.
Myla’s horse show roots started in 4-H, but today you can find her in both English and Western attire as she competes in the All-Around events on her mare, Fancy Mea Cowgirl aka “Fancy”. Fancy and Myla compete throughout Illinois, as well as at regional and national shows within the American Paint Horse Association. But the most integral part of this all girl team might just be Myla’s dog, Haddie. Haddie is an Australian Shepard/Catahoula that can be found riding
shot-gun to all the shows.
Myla is excited to be selected as 2019 Ambassador for Greeley Hat Works. It’s an honor to represent such a high-quality brand!
