Katherine Merck of Spokane, Washington, served as Miss Rodeo America 2016. Katherine held the titles of Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo 2014 and Miss Rodeo Washington 2015 before becoming the first Washingtonian to wear the Miss Rodeo America crown. Katherine graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in December 2017 and plans to use her degree to promote ethical justice for land use, water rights, and agricultural estate planning.
Katherine believes it is her duty to actively serve in order to give back to the community that has given so much to her. She sits on the Miss Rodeo America National Advisory Council and shares her passion for the sport of rodeo with the next generation of by mentoring and encouraging young women and serving as both a clinician and judge for rodeo queen programs around the country. She continues to be actively involved in the sport of rodeo by working for in different capacities for both stock contractors and rodeo committees.
