Jay C. Funk June 13th, 1947 - March 30th, 2013
Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at The Boot from 3pm-??? We will be honoring the life of Jay!
From the East Coast of the U.S. to the Little Bear in Evergreen, The Grizzly Rose in Denver, Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, and every Honky-Tonk inbetween, Jay was a character that lit up the eyes of thousand of people. He told me..."No Funeral. No Wake. No Celebration of Life. No Memorial Service. I wanna throw a party!"
So that is what we are doing....and here are the details
One of Jay's All-Time favorite bands....Ethyl and the Regulars will keep us all smiling and remembering the good times with our 'ole buddy Jay. Later that evening please feel free to stay and enjoy the muxsical talents of our good friend Woodie Procell
Food and a cash bar will be flowing (Now, I do know A LOT of Jay's friends, so....)
We are setting up a fund in memory of Jay at the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund
Please notate that your donation is in honor of Jay C. Funk.
Hope to see you all there THIS SATURDAY FROM 3-??? at 4164 Clydesdale Pkwy, Loveland, CO 80538
Dear Friends of Jay,
It is with great sorrow that we announce his passing this morning. We are all at a loss for words, but look forward to celebrating his amazing life in the near future. Of course, in Jay Style. No funeral, No memorial, No celebration of life....
A PARTY IN HONOR OF JAY! His wishes....#Duh
I will update everyone via our blog, newsletter, and Greeley Hat Works Facebook Page. Jay also wasn't one for flowers #Duh, so we are working with Miss Rodeo Colorado, Sarah Weins, on setting up a fund in memory of Jay with the Justin Boots Cowboy Crisis Fund and the PRCA. Details of his party and the fund will be early next week.
Smile, laugh, and remember him....Don't cry. Or as Jay would say..."Don't be a Sally".
He was at peace. Where he wanted to be. With with loving people.
I’m headed to Fort Worth for the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Convention next week, and I’m ready to build some hats.
I'll be at the Pre-Convention Reception at theMaverick, March 21 from 6-9 p.m., where I’ll be offering a 10% discount on all hat orders to TSCRA members. We want to kick the weekend off right with food, drinks, friends and hats.
"I've worked with all of the best hat makers, and Trent and Greeley Hat Works make the best hats in the world," Kyle Everett Magruder, men's department manager and buyer for the Maverick said. "Greeley Hat Works' custom work is unbeatable, and the hat fit is the best in the business."
Well thanks, Kyle.
No need to RSVP, and the reception is free.
The Maverick will be donating 10% of the night's sales to TSCRA Youth Programs, so come out and support the next generation of cattle raisers.
The Maverick is the kind of place that fills up with real people who know what it means to live the West. It’s the real deal. Don’t miss it.

We know our endorsees are rockstars in the arena. They prove that each and every week.
What we want to talk about are what these guys and gals do when the bright lights aren’t on them, what they’re up to when there’s no stock in the chutes.
Casey Colletti joined WPRA World Champion Barrel Racer Brittany Pozzi on a visit to Texas Children’s Hospital, where they spent the day talking with the patients there.
“It was really tough, I can't lie about that,” Colletti said. “When you think you've got it bad, and you're feeling really negative about something going on in your life, and then you meet these kids who are just happy everyday with everything they've got going on–It's tough. It's really tough.”
Pueblo’s Colletti has qualified for the last two National Finals Rodeos, and joined the Greeley Hat Works team in 2012. (Find out more about Colletti here.)
Thanks to Schiller Ranch and K9s for Cops for sharing the photos from Colletti's trip with us!

Being an Allied Industry Partner with this amazing group is a great Experience! The show was amazing. But, with such great people and friends it would be hard to have a"BAD" time. The NCBA staff did a great job. Looking forward to the next three years of great shows with them.
