For as long as I can remember I have put a cowboy hat on my head when I go outside.  It is just a part me.  Both my grandfathers wore them.

I feel it is so important as a livestock man to wear the cowboy hat with pride and integrity.

The shape and style tells so much about the person wearing it.

My one wish is that when a person wears a western style hat,  they understand they are representing a western lifestyle that includes ranching, rodeo and even western music, and I hope we will conduct ourselves with the highest integrity, remembering it is bad manners to have your hat on in the house, while eating, or being introduced to a lady.

I have proudly worn a Greeley hat for several years now, and am proud of the way it looks, feels and fits.

If your gonna wear one, wear a good one, and wear it with pride.

Clay Everhart

Pro Rodeo Announcer, Clay Everhart has been talking his way to the top ever since he was a little ranch hand growing up in Granada, Colorado. With an appreciation of the cowboy lifestyle and traditions he has participated in ranch rodeos, rodeos, training stock dogs, riding cutting horses and pretty much everything else that involves being outdoors. You will not see him sitting on the fence as he is known for getting the crowds excited and meeting friends where ever he goes. Professionalism is his top priority along with the drive to be a continued success within his field. Clay runs a successful auctioneering business and is an accomplished rodeo announcer, motivational speaker and pipeline welder. With big goals and dreams he has taken on the challenges of announcing CPRA rodeos along with UBBI, ABBI, Thunder on the Prairie Bull Riding as well as many other events, even being able to work with Don Gay. Clayton is learning and is working with the elite in rodeo business after attending the Chad Nicholson Rodeo Announcer’s Seminar. Chad has high standards of professionalism in the rodeo world and he is working with Clayton every step of the way to the top. Having a great rookie year, he was even invited to announce to stage Josh Abbott Band and Granger Smith. Self-driven and strong work ethics keep him striving for his best and gives him the motivation to help others achieve their best as well. Clay has a strong belief in him that this is a people helping people world. With his fun upbeat personality he is rarely without a smile or quick wit and people can't help but migrate towards him. Excited for what the future holds and honored to be included in the Greeley Hat Works family he looks forward to being an essential part in bringing quality to the rodeo community.

Mark Guynn

Mark was born and raised in Manitou Springs, Colorado where he led trail rides through the Garden of the Gods as a youth.  He graduated from Lamar Community College with an Associates degree in Horse Management and Training, and went on to complete an internship with renowned AQHA breeder and judge, Joe Taylor, in Moab, Utah.  Following his brief sojourn in Utah, Mark returned to Colorado and started Guynn Training Center, LLC now located in the beautiful foothills of Berthoud.  He and his wife, Jan, were married in 1992 and have 12 year old twins, Luke and Lindsay.  Lindsay is well on her way to becoming the next in the line of accomplished riders.

Mark sits on the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association Board of Directors, and has been heavily involved in the youth program for many years.  Mark is the AQHA committee chair for the Region 8 Committee, and serves as a liaison to the local affiliate, as well as sitting on their committee for year end awards.  Mark is a past president of the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse association, and remains appointed to that Board of Directors for 2013.  Mark holds his AQHA, NRHA, and NRCHA judge’s cards.  He is a NRHA money earner, and has consistently produced both AQHA and APHA world show qualifiers.

Mark is most proud of his youth and non-pro clients, many of whom have qualified for World Show competition themselves.  In 2012 he took four youth to the AQHYA World Show in Reining, Haiden and Hunter DeJane, Shelby Diede, and Alyssa Neiberger, who finished 14th in that event.  This same group qualified for the Novice World Championship in this it’s inaugural year, and ended up in the ribbons in the Youth Reining, and the Geldings.  In 2011 he accompanied a similar group to the AQHYA World Show, and coached Whizzy Harper in the Amateur Reining at the AQHA World Show on her mare Meradas Cash Cat, whom he also qualified in the Junior Reining.

Mark prefers to work with his horses and riders as TEAMS, arming each student with the knowledge and skill level to advance and compete on their own.  Challenging them to become self sufficient, he promotes mutual synergy between horse and rider.  His track record demonstrates that his approach pays off in the show pen.  On the off days when Mark is not coaching, judging or training, he enjoys spending time with his family or working on his second “love” golf.

Mark appreciates being a part of the Greeley Hatworks Team!!!  As a judge, exhibitor and coach alike he values the need for a well creased, professional looking lid.

Jessica Hendrix
Jessica Hendrix

Jessica was raised in the Loveland/Greeley area with her dad as a professional cutting horse trainer. She grew up showing cutters, reiners, and all-around performance horses. When she graduated from high school she moved to Gainesville, Texas to work and train under Gary Putman at the then Draggin A ranch riding reining horses.  Following her time in Texas she returned home to Colorado and founded Generations Performance Horses. Following an accident that left her in the hospital for a few days she decided that with a young daughter she might need to find another potential income source so she went to veterinary technician school and then on to a position at CSU's Equine Veterinary Teaching Hospital as an emergency and critical care technician in the equine department. She remained there for 5 years before moving to Utah to help establish a new regional equine referral clinic. While in Utah her passion for training took over and she returned to training horses full time.

Jessica currently owns and operates Generations Performance Horses in Wellington, Colorado along with her husband Sam Hendrix, DVM, daughter Kaylie, and son Paxton.  We are truly honored to be a part of the GHW team and their pursuit to present their passion to the world with vision and style.

Chisum Docheff

After my senior year of high school I was getting ready to leave for college and I was going to a lot of amateur rodeos; when Trent talked to me about a sponsor ship. My goal was to stay calm and cool during this conversation, but in reality I was about about to wet my pants. I was just offered my very first sponsorship.

As my steer wrestling ability has progressed so has our relationship as business partners and friends. Trent has been there for me from my first junior rodeo to now a steer wrestler in the PRCA. So not only is GHW an outstanding company, that makes the most amazing and unique hats, they are truly a genuinely good family that I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with and get to know.

I will always ride strong and proud for the Greeley Hat Works brand. Thank you Trent, it has been my honor.

This “thank you” is long over due.

What a gift!  I am so impressed with this 100% beaver work hat.  Good gravy -- day in & day out, it stays the same.  And even with these 100+ degree days, I have yet to sweat through it.  Unbelievable.

Shucks, I’m the best dressed puncher for 200 miles!  Well at least from the ears up.

Helluva lid.  Hell – of – a – lid.

Of all his wonderful clients, supporters and stellar equine partners, Matt counts his most important partners as his family. He has been married to his wife, Karen, for 6 years, and the couple has a 5-year-old son, Ryan, in addition to Alec, 16, and Emma, 13.   In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball and golf.
